Delmarva Hunting Co. started the way most good ideas on the Shore do: in a duck blind, before sunrise, with cold hands and good company.
We grew up hunting the guts and creeks of the Delmarva Peninsula, from the Choptank down through Chincoteague. The gear we could buy never felt like it was made for this place. Hats fell apart before the leather ever broke in. Camo looked like a video game. Nothing said Eastern Shore.
So we made our own. First a run of leather patch truckers for the guys in our blind. Then tees for the boat ramp crowd. People kept asking where the hats came from, and Delmarva Hunting Co. became a real thing.
What we believe
- Small batches beat big boxes. Every run is limited. When a colorway sells out, it might not come back.
- Field first. Everything gets worn a season in the blind, the boat, and the truck before it goes on the site.
- Local pride. Designed on Delmarva, shipped from the Eastern Shore, and worn from Crisfield to Lewes.
- Leave it better. A cut of every season's profits goes to wetland conservation on the Shore.
The patch
The hex leather patch is our handshake. A mallard cupped over the DH mark, engraved into full-grain leather that ages with every sunrise you put it through. If it's wearing the patch, it earned it.
